Thanks to the ideal combination of high hardness and excellent toughness, Hardox is a wear plate with optimum wear resistance for usagein mining, recycling, transportation, quarrying, concrete and cement work and many other areas.

1. Consistent characteristics

Each Hardox plate has the same characteristics throughout the entire cross-section and in all directions. While other steels vary in hardness and toughness depending on the position, Hardox remains consistent so you can always know what you are expecting.

2. Guaranteed toughness

Just as Hardox continuously exhibits constant hardness through the entire cross-section, its toughness is also constant. The figure below shows the typical impact strength as well as hardness of Hardox steel compared to other steels.

3. 40 years of experience

Hardox 's Hardox range has been expanded since Hardox' s inception in 1974, and it has been made to be thinner, thicker and harder without sacrificing the most important, toughness. Originally used as a wear plate, Hardox is tough enough to serve as a load-bearing part in many applications. It is the construction of structures which are simultaneously wear-resistant, strong and of low weight.

4. Availability of many different formats and thicknesses

Typical wear plates are produced in thicknesses between 8 and 50 mm and in hardnesses of up to 550 HBW - also Hardox sheets. But Hardox wear plates are also produced in thicknesses below 8 mm down to 3 mm and over 50 mm up to 160 mm and in hardnesses of up to 600 HBW. Hardox is therefore the only sheet metal with such dimensions in the world.

5. A broadest range of hardnesses

Hardox is available starting with a thickness of 0.7 mm up to 160 mm. Hardox HiTuf is one of the toughest wear plates, while Hardox Extreme is one of the world's thickest steel plates.
