Plows and cultivators
Previously pulled by horses, the plows and cultivator
machines have improved in size and power. Nowadays weight reduction is becoming
increasingly important in relation to size.
Usually, the hands of the plow which loosen the soil are
made from 10 mm Hardox 600 unless the body of the plow is made from Hardox
You can expect a 4 to 5 times better life expectancy of
your plow and wearing parts, which are made from Hardox sheet metal.
If you replace a conventional
8mm steel with a high-strength steel like Hardox 500 in 5mm, the material will
cost you roughly the same. Clear
advantages are the reductionsof weight and welding.
You can also use the new weight-saving feature to expand
your plow and make it more efficient.
The higher hardness of the hardox sheet will also
make your plow more flexible and, above all, more resistant to impacts and bad
